Sthitaprajna-lakshanam is one of the most important topics mentioned in the 2nd Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavan Sri Krishna explains the Sankhya-buddhi and Yoga-buddhi in this part of the Gita. After listening to Him, Arjuna becomes inquisitive about the characteristics of a person who has reached the state of Sankhya-buddhi. Arjuna asks Him, “Who is a Sthitaprajna, how does he speak, sit and walk around?” Bhagavan's answer to these questions is well-known as Sthitaprajna-lakshanam.
